Pascalle and Lennart were the first couple to book me as their wedding photographer since I took my business full-time last year. Without knowing, the two of them marked an important change in my life. They will forever have a special place in my heart for that reason! Around this time last year we had our first talk on the phone. A few months later they showed me around their beloved Amsterdam while we talked about their day, and before I knew it I was in the car on my way to photograph their wedding.
I am so happy that they found me because their day in June was so special in it’s own right! Their backyard wedding took place in beautiful Bergen aan Zee in North Holland. One of their friends drove them around in a gorgeous vintage Mercedes: from the dunes for the photo shoot to the picturesque Vredeskerkje (Church of Peace), and on to his parent’s home where cake (carrot cake, DO IT brides, this was YUMSERS!) and refreshments were waiting. Her twin sister took care of the decoration (she did a stellar job at it too!!) and took polaroid pictures of all the guests. And the part that I maybe loved most of all was that their first dance took place in the same local cafe where they had their first date years before.
